Jo Normal & The cambridgeBlueMan
Lea and Johanna met in 2008
in Berlin
, quickly discovered their musical compatibility and
ever since
 they have been making and playing emotional techno with some folk and
pop influences.

Jo Normal (aka Johanna Thompson)

studied Fine Arts with focus on New Genres at the San Francisco Art
Institute, where in 1996 she wrote and produced the first digital
Opera. After spending several years in London, New York, Tokyo and
Busan, Korea where she worked as faculty for Digital Media, she
finally settled in Berlin in 2006.
Since 2007 her main focus has been the "Universe Project" that is
designed to take the edge off infinity. More information and a range

The cambridgeBlueMan (aka Lea Nicholson)

Lea has been making and playing music for more than 4 decades - a
significant proportion of this time professionally.

The noughties saw a significant change of direction and he graduated
from Anglia Ruslin University, Cambridge in June 2009 with a 1st class
honors degree in Audio Music Technology. His final year major project
was based on Supercollider.

He has now been developing with Supercollider for more than two years,
and his particular interest is live performance using
Supercollider/Wiimote combinations.
