After a decade or so of peforming under the name of Idiotchild, now performing simply as Noel Maurice…the music has undergone many changes over the years - there was the broken accordions and tea chest bass years, then the atari and crap drum machine years, then the weirdo electro years…now it's stripped down and made simple: Letting the songs speak for themselves, with reasonably sparse instrumentation: usually in a conventional five-piece line-up, sometimes acoustic, sometimes not.
Judge for yourself. There's no smoke or mirrors. Or none that I can see, anyway.
